Hublot’s association with the sporting world is no secret and just this year, they became the first official timekeeper of the NBA franchise. Sealing this deal further, they have announced that Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers’ star shooting guard, is their new brand ambassador. To mark the beginning of this new association they have unveiled Kobe’s signature timepiece, the limited edition King Power Black Mamba of 250 pieces. The timepiece boasts of a HUB 4248 Mechanical self-winding movement, micro-blasted titanium bezel with 6 black PVD H-shaped relief titanium screws, sapphire dial and python snake strap sewed onto black rubber. As is tradition with the brand, social responsibility did not take a backseat either. Hublot is now supporting its ambassador’s charity—the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation that is committed to improving the lives of youth and families in need by providing financial resources for like-minded organizations.
Hublot timepieces stand for precision and excellence, and these qualities are always reflected in their brand ambassadors and representatives too. Kobe Bryant joins the ranks of the likes of Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat, famed Olympian Usain Bolt and soccer legend Diego Maradona, all who have held this honor before.
